Bethel Police Department received a call for service regarding a Taxi Cab driver that had been shot on the 200 Block of Ptarmigan on 7/5/2021. The Taxi Cab driver was transported to YKHC for medical treatment and has since made a recovery.
After an extensive investigation by members of the Criminal Investigations Division, detectives secured a search and arrest warrant for Maggie James in connection with this shooting.
On 12/27/2022, Bethel Police Department personnel were able to make contact with Maggie James in the 400 block of Owl Street where she was arrested without incident and subsequently remanded to YKCC on charges of Assault in the 1st Degree, Robbery in the 1st Degree, and Vehicle Theft in the 1st Degree.
