VPO Academy celebrates graduation

The Village Public Officer Academy 23 celebrated their graduation last Thursday in Bethel after training at Yuut Elitnaurviat in Bethel. The class consisted of 18 Tribal and Village Police Officers and 8 Village Public Safety Officers from across the state. Special guests included Fr. Elia Larson of the St. Sophia Orthodox Church who gave the blessing, Representative Bob Herron, and Academy Director Michael Dekreon. Graduates are (top row from left) Trooper Sgt.
