Bethel Fire Department Calls for week ending October 6

 


• On 10-02-11 at 11:30 a.m. medics responded to Chief Eddie Hoffman Highway for report of a man with high blood pressure. Upon arrival, medics found a 56 year old man who wanted to go home and rest. Medics returned to the station.

• On 10-04-11 at 12:51 a.m. medics responded to the State Highway for a report of a man with back pain. The patient was found guarding his lower back in agony following a wrestling match with a family member. Medics transported the man to the Hospital

• On 10-4-11 at 3:54 a.m. medics responded to Fourth Avenue for a report of a patient who was unresponsive to pain. Medics woke the patient using smelling salts. Officers transported the patient to sleep off.

• On 10-04-11 at 12:51 a.m. firefighters responded to Front street for a report of smoke in the area. Investigation of the area found light fog but no smoke. Firefighters returned to the station.

• On 10-04-11 at 8:49 a.m. medics responded to Chief Eddie Hoffman Highway for report of child having seizures. Upon arrival, medics found a 6 year old male who had witnessed seizures. Medics assessed and transported the patient to the hospital.

• On 10-04-11 at 8:02 p.m. firefighters responded to Salmonberry Street for report of smoke. Upon arrival, firefighters found and extinguished a smoldering patch out in the tundra. After ensuring the fire was out firefighters returned to station.

• On 10-04-11 at 8:36 p.m. medics responded to Uivik subdivision for report of a man who took numerous pills. Upon arrival, medics found an intoxicated 31 year old male who was believed to have taken an unsafe amount of pain relievers. Medics assessed and transported the patient to the hospital.

• On 10-05-11 at 10:44 a.m. medics responded to Atsaq Street for the report of a man with a cut lung. Upon arrival, medics found a 64 year old male with a puncture wound to his left chest. The patient was treated and transported to the hospital.

• On 10-05-11 at 5:39 p.m. medics responded to East Avenue for the report of a man who was burned. Upon arrival, medics found a 48 year old male who had burns to his face, hands, legs and chest. The patient was assessed and transported to the hospital.

• On 10-06-11 at 2:31 a.m. medics responded to Ptarmigan Street for the report of a woman who was feeling numbness in her leg. Upon arrival, medics found a 74 year old female who stated she had tingling in her arm and leg. The patient was assessed and transported to the hospital.
