Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines to combine

Alaska Airlines has announced that they are set to acquire Hawaiian Airlines. The merger is expected to close in 12-18 months with both airlines continuing operations as usual until that time. The combined organization will be based in Seattle, WA. “Alaska Airlines’ continued aim is to elevate the travel experience, with premium products and services, our award-winning care, and continued expansion of connectivity and access for you – our guests – with things like new routes and global access through our 29 partner airlines,” said Ben Minicucci, Alaska Airlines CEO.
